Advancing Cell & Gene Therapies With Simple Western And Single-Cell Western
12/9/2021
Cell & gene therapies are attractive alternatives to traditional drug-based therapies because they treat the underlying cause of diseases rather than just the symptoms. This paper highlights tools that are instrumental in developing cell & gene therapies for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, lupus, cystic fibrosis, and sickle-cell disease.
-
Mapping The Cell Signaling Web Can Lead To New Therapies
12/9/2021
This paper highlights scientific articles that demonstrate how to obtain a holistic overview of signaling pathways in many different cell types, organisms, and environments.

Advanced Western Blotting Solutions For Regenerative Medicine And Cell Therapy
12/9/2021
To harness the full potential of cell therapy and regenerative medicine, researchers are often challenged with small sample sizes and the limited availability of starting material for process, product, and test method development. Towards this end, a fully automated Western blotting platform is becoming an unstoppable force in the field of regenerative medicine and cell therapy.

Full Signaling Pathway Analysis In A Single Run
12/6/2021
Gaining an accurate quantitative understanding of complex signaling networks as a whole is crucial and remains a daunting challenge. Here, we show how the high throughput and low sample volume requirements of Simple Western work together to comprehensively characterize complex signaling pathways in one simple workflow.

Keeping The Promise Of Immuno-Oncology With Simple Western And Single-Cell Western
12/4/2021
To realize the full potential of immuno-oncology next-generation protein analytical tools are needed to uncover the role of proteins in cancer and provide novel approaches to develop and analyze protein-based therapeutics. Here, we show how we have the potential to make significant contributions to three important branches of immuno-oncology: angiogenesis of the tumor microenvironment, immune checkpoint inhibition, and chimeric antigen T-cell (CAR T-cell) therapy.

Shining New Light On Pharmacokinetic Assays With Simple Western
12/4/2021
An important aspect of therapeutic drug characterization is pharmacokinetic (PK) studies, which are used to understand the fate of an administered drug. Given that biological drugs are quite complicated, and are known to change in response to stress, a one-dimensional test like ELISA may only provide limited information. Read how the Simple Western Charge assay provided the most wealth of information and was able to detect significant changes in the drug profiles over the course of the study, including the detection of unexpected stress-associated acidic peaks.
