Thermo Fisher Scientific has developed a resin called POROS Oligo dT(25) affinity resin for the purification of messenger RNA (mRNA) in the production of mRNA-based therapeutics. This resin is designed to capture and purify full-length mRNA molecules while removing impurities such as DNA templates and buffer components. It has a high binding capacity and selectivity, can be used under native conditions, and is scalable for various column sizes. The resin has been shown to successfully purify mRNA in laboratory experiments and can support the development and production of mRNA-based therapeutics.

The POROS Oligo dT(25) affinity resin offers a promising solution for the purification of mRNA in the production of mRNA-based therapeutics. It provides efficient purification, high binding capacity, and selectivity, while removing impurities. The resin is scalable and can be used under native conditions, making it suitable for various column sizes. The study conducted demonstrates the effectiveness of the resin in purifying mRNA and highlights its potential for supporting the development and production of mRNA-based therapeutics.
