Calculating Cellular Mass Balance After Corning® X-SERIES® Processing
5/24/2021
In order to ensure a Corning X-LAB® or X-WASH® protocol is optimized, it is recommended to perform a cellular mass balance to confirm cell recovery. By knowing the starting and final number of cells in the cartridge compartments there will be a better understanding of cell recovery and how to improve it. In this protocol, we will demonstrate how to perform mass balance using results from a typical mononuclear cell (MNC) isolation from whole blood as an example.

Corning® CellCube® Culture System Cell Expansion
5/24/2021
The Corning CellCube system provides a simple, compact, and scalable method for mass culture of attachment-dependent cells. The CellCube modules provide a large, stable surface area for the immobilization and growth of attachment-dependent cells. The current protocol was developed for HEK293T and Vero cell expansion using a Corning® CellCube® 100-layer module with the Eppendorf BioFlo® 120 (controller) and BioBLU® 3c single-use bioreactor (SUB) to adequately control medium conditioning.
