Close fitting covers are available for use with all storage and 96-well plates to prevent contamination or spillage of samples. Ridged and non-ridged versions are available. The ridged version enables covered plates to be safely stacked without slippage. The non-ridged version can be used with automated systems where plates in a stack are removed by being pushed out from the side. Cut-out sections of the lip of the cover enable robotic arms to manipulate the plate directly, without the need to remove the cover. Alternatively, the cover may be lifted off by holding it in the centre or by suction.
Polypropylene covers are also available, ridged and non-ridged, for use with 384 ThermoFast® plates.
