SAN MATEO, Calif., November 15, 1999-NucleoTech Corporation, a provider of advanced image data analysis systems, today announces the release of its new NucleoVision 830, a dual imaging workstation. This workstation is designed for simultaneous color and fluorescence image documentation and analysis of electrophoretic gels, autoradiographs, blots, microscopy specimens and 3-D images. The real-time CCD camera gives sensitive detection and quantification of color and gray-scale images and resolves nanogram quantities of DNA. At the heart of the NucleoVision 830, dual-imaging workstation is the GelExpert software package that provides simple, integrated features for image acquisition, archiving, analysis and publication tools. Analysis tools include OD analysis, molecular weight calculation, 1-D automated multi-lane densitometry, Dot/Slot blot analysis, free object quantification, genotyping, bioassay and 2-D spot densitometry.

NucleoTech Corporation is an innovative pioneer in the emerging field of bioimage informatics - the intelligent retrieval, analysis, data mining and archiving of biological information derived from imagebased data. Founded in 1995, the privately held San Mateo, California-based company develops, manufactures and markets an integrated family of advanced imaging systems. These systems use NucleoTech's proprietary software technology to streamline image-data operations for the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and molecular diagnostics markets.
