PreSens offers a new system for measuring oxygen and pH in shake flasks. The SFR – Shake Flask Reader measures rapid and precise in up to 9 shake flasks simultaneously. This novel device is used for microbial cultivations and cell cultures. The wireless system monitors on-line und non-invasively through the transparent bottom of the flasks. The luminescence of the dyes embedded in these sensor spots is excited by the Shake Flask Reader. Its software visualizes oxygen and pH in real-time during the entire cultivation. Results are displayed in a variety of graphical representations and enable the comparison of different cultivations on-line. The SFR allows you to optimize the cultivation parameters systematically. The device will impress you by its reliable comparison of screening results. All measured data can be exported to Excel or ASCII for further evaluation.

The system is compatible with nearly all standard shakers. One puts the flasks in clamps mounted on the tray. Flasks in sizes from 125 ml to 2.000 ml are offered. Plastic flasks contain pre-calibrated oxygen and pH sensors. They are ready-to-use for one cultivation. Glass flasks are equipped with autoclavable oxygen sensors.
