Liquid Retention Comparison In PC And PETG Containers

Liquid Retention app note.jpg

Fluid retention is an important consideration when choosing a container. The physical design and material of construction of the container impact how much fluid remains after dispensing.

Thermo Scientific™ Nalgene™ Biotainer™ bottles are often used to store high-value products; therefore, loss of any material can be very costly. Loss can occur when reagents are retained either inside or on the lip of a bottle. Retention on the lip of the bottle carries the additional risk of contamination of the remaining contents of the container. Because fluid retention is an important consideration when choosing which container to use, a comparison was made between different container products.
