Large Volume Parenteral And Small Volume Parenteral Filtration Enables More Rigorous Process Control To Improve Sterile Drug Quality

Large volume parenteral (LVP) and small volume parenteral (SVP) are sterile injectable drugs. There are two broadly used methods to produce a sterile drug product: terminal sterilization and aseptic processing of sterilized unit components. It is a well-accepted principle that sterile drugs should be manufactured using aseptic processing only when terminal sterilization is not feasible.
