Instant Implementation Of Raman-Based Monitoring And Control For Key Upstream Bioprocessing Parameters

While empirical Raman spectroscopy models are convenient due to their 'black box' properties, they may prove impractical and insufficiently robust for deployment as Process Analytical Technology (PAT) solutions in complex upstream bioprocesses. In contrast, the MAVERICK platform, based on Raman technology with a de novo approach, operates as effortlessly as a pH-meter, providing real-time measurements of key process parameters such as glucose, lactate, and biomass. In addition, it provides access to high-quality, full-spectrum Raman data, facilitating comprehensive bioprocess development.
The first part of the webinar explains how MAVERICK employs physics-based de novo model for real-time monitoring and control of upstream process parameters. In the second part of the webinar, learn how this technology was readily deployed in CHO cell cultures monitoring and control without any bioprocess-specific model building. We implemented a strategy of continuous dynamic feeding to enhance process performance and circumvent conditions recognized to adversely impact product quality.
