In-line Monitoring Of Bioprocess Parameters For The 21st Century

It’s been nearly 20 years since the FDA and EMA published guidelines on process analytical technologies (PAT) to drive the advancement of Biopharma 4.0 with the ultimate aim of predictive control and Quality by Design. Over the years several multivariate optical sensing technologies have demonstrated tremendous promise for in-line continuous monitoring of a range of parameters. These technologies offer the promise of hands-off, non-destructive, and easy-to-integrate multi-parameter analysis with feedback control loop. Yet they often require substantial expert configuration and set-up time that can take months or years, and substantial expense. In this webinar, we will review the current state of several optical technology approaches and their associated strengths and limitations. We’ll discuss a new platform that greatly accelerates successful implementation of in-line monitoring of key bioprocess parameters.
Key takeaways:
- Current state of state-of-the-art in-line upstream bioprocess analytics
- A new solution overcoming major hurdles of implementation of in-line multivariate bioprocess analysis
