BalanCD CHO Feed 4 Evo: An Enhanced Feed for Evolving mAb Process Platforms

BalanCD CHO Feed 4 Evo is a chemically defined, animal component-free feed formulation designed to improve manufacturability and reduce preparation complexity in CHO fed-batch processes. A streamlined 3-step hydration protocol replaces multi-component preparation workflows, and hydrated liquid feed retains stable performance for up to six weeks at 2-8°C.

In CHO DG44 fed-batch cultures, cell growth, metabolite profiles, antibody titer, and peak specific productivity (Qp) were comparable between the evolved formulation and its predecessor. CHO-S cultures showed similar cell growth support. The formulation is compatible with multiple CHO subtypes and is manufactured under GMP at global facilities.
