Vetter Captures Important Industry Award

Ravensburg - Vetter Pharma-Fertigung GmbH & Co. KG, world leader in the production of aseptically prefilled injection systems, has won this year's European Outsourcing Award in the category "Most improved Process/Plant/Facility." The prize recognized the outstanding new facility Ravensburg Vetter South (RVS), which began operations at the beginning of the year. The award is sponsored by the trade publisher Via Media Ltd and the magazine pharma. It is one of the most important prizes of the European pharmaceutical industry. The winners were announced during the International Contract Services Expo (ICSE) in Milan in early October.

"Vetter Pharma Fertigung should feel extremely proud, not just for receiving the award, but for the successful completion of the project itself and for their deep understanding of the needs and drivers of the contract manufacturing industry," stated Kevin Robinson, foreman of the jury. The members of the panel were convinced by the manner in which sponsor and client collaborated and overcame the challenges facing them. The company, they felt, has a clear understanding of how to deliver value to clients. Thanks to its new facility, Vetter can now deliver up to 400 million units per year. Aside from two other sterile facilities, Vetter has two more filling lines for liquid and lyophilized drugs in nearly all standard systems in the new facility: dual-chamber syringes, single- and dual-chamber cartridges and vials.Two more lines will be added in the near future.
