Turner Designs, Inc. was founded in 1972 by George Turner and for more than two decades has manufactured rugged and reliable field and laboratory instrumentation. The company has produced thousands of fluorometers and luminometers which allow scientists, engineers and technicians to take field and laboratory measurements in accordance with strict analytical standards. With dealers in over 40 countries, Turner Designs is the largest manufacturer of filter fluorometers in the world.

Fluorometers provide direct measurement of algae, aromatic hydrocarbons, and fluorescent dyes. Specific applications include: DNA/RNA quantitation, histamine, vitamins & aflatoxin measurement; pollution control and treatment verification for oil in water; flow measurement, dispersion and distribution studies; and chlorophyll measurement in water supplies and marine habitats.

Turner Designs' customers include academic, industrial, and municipal research laboratories, environmental and civil engineering firms, oil exploration contractors, municipal water and wastewater facilities, industrial dischargers, and major chemical suppliers.
