European Roadshow to demo mosquito nanoliter liquid handling family

Protein crystallographers and drug discovery researchers throughout Europe can find out in person what makes TTP LabTech's mosquito the industry standard instrument for nanolitre pipetting this autumn. The mosquito European Roadshow, with hands-on demonstrations of this precision dispensing family, will commence 18th October 2010 and will visit Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, France and Spain.

mosquito is available in three standard formats, each of which is flexible enough to address a range of applications, including High Throughput Screening (HTS), ‘hit picking' and protein crystallography. All provide precise and repeatable nanolitre dispensing of any liquid down to 25nL, irrespective of liquid viscosity. Demonstrations of any of these formats can be booked at roadshow@ttplabtech.com.

Making protein crystallography exceptionally fast and cost effective, the mosquito Crystal automates crystallography set-ups (hanging drop, sitting drop and microbatch techniques) and additive screening. Offering all the functionality of the standard mosquito Crystal, the mosquito LCP is a dedicated instrument that offers a fully automated solution to lipidic cubic phase (LCP) screening.

mosquito HTS miniaturises screening applications, such as assay-ready plate preparation, reformatting and serial dilutions to make more efficient use of valuable compounds. Finally, mosquito X1 is a single tip ‘hit picking' instrument which offers precision nanolitre sampling of any individual well or location. This enables researchers to transfer nanolitre volumes of hits from primary screening plates directly to hit validation without cross-contamination or further dilution.
