TILL, Photonics, Inc.

Source: TILL Photonics, Inc.
TILL Photonics was founded in 1993 by Dr. Rainer Uhl, a Professor at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He has been involved in the development and application of physical methods for the study of living biological systems for over 20 years, and his current research area is fluorescence microscopy. The close cooperation between TILL and his group at the university, has led to the development of instrumentation which can be taylored specifically to the needs of a scientist, and the input from and thorough testing in a real lab environment has greatly aided the development of the current situation, namely that TILL can offer complete systems not available elsewhere.

TILL Photonics offers equipment, software and services for all areas of fluorescence microscopy.

Heart of all systems is a unique polychromatic illumination unit (Polychrome-IV), the first of its kind on the market, which has been copied repeatedly but which still outperforms the competition in every respect. It delivers monochromatic light through a fibre, allows to change wavelengths in 2-3 ms and covers a range from 260 - 680 nm. Special epifluorescence condensers are available for all major microscopes, and they are optimised for maximal throughput and homogeneity.

Based on the Polychrome-II, complete imaging- or photometric systems are available for precision measurements in real-time , comprising detectors, cameras, control electronics, microscopes and vibration-isolation workstations.
