The Wiper Single Well Wipe Test Counter

The Wiper is a compact, highly sophisticated 4096 channel analyzer specifically developed for wipe testing in a Nuclear Medicine Setting. Drawing on 30+ years of expertise in designing state-of-the-art nuclear counting instrumentation ranging from liquid scintillation/gamma counters to sophisticated gamma cameras, we have created an instrument to satisfy the strictest regulations while providing a simple, superior user interface.

Designed with the smaller Department in mind, the Wiper with its single, well-type NaI(tl) detector is ideal for a cost-conscious Department which wants total compliance and long term reliability. Sophisticated software makes getting accurate, detailed location reports fast and effective.

Up to 20 pre-defined locations may be entered into the system. On a daily or weekly basis, the user simply chooses "Do Wipe Test" from the main menu, selects a location from the Location Library, and counts. A detailed report will be printed to the screen and/or the optional printer. The user may choose between a compact printer designed to compliment the system, or may opt for an HP or Epson model.

Isotope window selection is fully user-programmable and selectable by location. A sophisticated isotope identification program helps users to identify the content of a contaminated wipe. A built-in ratio program is ideal for running single or dual label tests.

Unique spectrum compensation feature provides accuracy across the energy spectrum by compensating for the inherent non-linearity of sodium iodide detectors. This superior technology presents the isotopes in their truest form; not squeezed, squashed or compressed into an unnatural, biased shape.
