The Perfect Container for Western Blots

The specially designed PerfectWestern containers perfectly accommodate Western blots of different size. They come in a range of sizes in both clear and black plastic. The PerfectWestern containers will significantly reduce the volume of expensive antibodies required while still producing beautiful Western blots!

These containers were conceived by our own frustration in searching for a suitable container for Western Blots. The choices were often much too large and never flat enough causing waste of antibody and concern about scratching the membrane. We decided to design our own containters offering several different sizes and options to truly achieve a PerfectWestern™. The containers are made of durable plastic material and have an ultra-smooth inner surface.

We sell 3 different sizes (Small, Medium, and Large) of the container pictured above in both clear and black versions. The clear version allows easy visualization of the blot, whereas the black one keeps light-sensitive antibodies protected. The Small Container is the perfect size for mini-protein gels cut in half and only requires 2-3 mLs of solution. The Medium Container exactly fits the mini-protein gels from Bio-rad and other vendors and only requires 4-5 mLs of solution. The Large Container is for slightly larger membranes such as Novex and requires 8-10 mLs.

We also offer a 3-sectional container (not pictured) that allows even smaller strips from mini-protein gels to be used and only requires 1-2 mL of total volume.
