The Cellvento® ModiFeed Platform

Cellvento® ModiFeed Prime COMP is a chemically defined, non-animal origin feed formulation designed for use in the development and production of monoclonal antibodies and next-generation biopharmaceuticals in CHO cell-based systems. Free from phenol red, glucose, hydrolysates, and 2-mercaptoethanol, this feed ensures consistency from batch to batch. It is a highly concentrated, pH-neutral, one-part feed that replenishes essential nutrients during the production phase in fed-batch processes. With a concentration exceeding 131 g/L, the feed reduces the volume of supplementation required, thereby improving product yield. The formulation reduces the complexity of multiple feed components, offering increased process control and simplifying the manufacturing process. By excluding glucose, it supports fed-batch processes where glucose levels are carefully controlled. The product is available as a dry powder, easy to handle and hydrate, with flexible storage options—at 2–8 °C for up to 90 days or at room temperature for 30 days. This streamlined approach offers enhanced flexibility, ease of use, and greater control in biomanufacturing environments.
