Tangential flow filtration (TFF) is a method for concentrating and diafiltering biological formulations such as liposomal nanoparticles. A recent study demonstrated that a single-pass TFF process using the DIANT® PILOT sp2TFF system successfully achieved a tenfold concentration of liposome nanoparticles in approximately 20 minutes. The process involved controlled pressure conditions, which is important for preserving the integrity of shear-sensitive lipid nanoparticles. Throughout the run, flow and pressure conditions remained stable and within the predefined operating parameters. These findings suggest that the DIANT® PILOT sp2TFF system can support nanoparticle concentration workflows under controlled conditions and provide predictable concentration kinetics. The system is specifically designed for continuous and single-pass concentration processes with real-time data acquisition and scalability in mind.
