Lightools Research introduces the SPEEDLIGHT PLATINUM GDS, designed from the ground up for gel documentation
Lightools Research introduces the SPEEDLIGHT PLATINUM GDS, designed from the ground up for gel documentation. This advance system combines the function of several components onto a single printed circuit board. The engineers at Lightools used the experience of past designs to produce a system with all of the needed functions like: on chip integration for very low light level imaging, digital storage to disk for long term archival and post processing, time/date/id and text for annotation, and advanced function like digital background subtraction, sensor lock for razor sharp prints, and camera saturation detection to keep images in the cameras dynamic linear range. You can access all of these functions, and many more, through the ruggedized handheld controller. The design philosophy for the SPEEDLIGHT PLATINUM GDS is centralized gel documentation and off-line, decentralized data processing. This keeps your gel documentation system from becoming a data processing bottleneck. But, this advanced design does not come with an advanced price tag, the whole system, with bench top cabinet darkroom is, thousands less then similar, but less capable systems.
