Spectronics Corporation also invented fluorescent leak detection, originally for the automotive industry, in 1955. The Spectroline method was laboratory- and field-tested extensively before it was introduced to the stationary air-conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) market in 1989.
Spectronics' modern, 100,000 square-foot manufacturing facility and office headquarters are located in Westbury, New York. There, a staff of 200 is involved in all phases of research and development, manufacturing, sales, marketing, customer service and technical support.
