Datasheet: 2-Wire Coriolis Flow And Density Meters

Source: Emerson Process Management

Micro Motion 2-Wire Coriolis meters, with MVD technology, are the first Coriolis meters for highly accurate mass flow and density measurement in loop-powered applications. Your process will benefit from these low-energy devices that measure so accurately you can reduce waste and rework while improving the quality – and without the need for additional power wiring.

The 2-Wire Coriolis Meter is compatible with the following transmitter:

  • Model 2200S Transmitters

Features

  • 2200S transmitter is available on ELITE Coriolis meters for line sizes ranging from 1/8" (3mm) to 6" (150mm)
  • Integral mount, compact design
  • 316L or 304L stainless steel or nickel alloy materials of construction
  • Pressure rating to 6000 psi (413 bar)
  • Temperature range: -400 to 400° F (-240 to 204 °C)
  • Liquid mass and volume flow accuracy ± 0.10%; gas flow accuracy ± 0.35%; liquid density accuracy ± 0.0005 g/cm3
  • Electronics with MVD Technology
  • Intrinsically save transmitter suitable for CSA Class I Div. 1 and ATEX Zone 1 approvals
  • Adapter-barrier available for installation in hazardous areas

Benefits

  • Replace existing 2-wire flow devices with minimal effort and without incurring additional power or cabling costs
  • Low energy, loop-powered design enables easy integration of Coriolis into existing processes for improvement measurement and reduced maintenance
  • Compact, integral transmitter design saves electrical cost and space for use on integrated systems and skids
  • No moving parts means no maintenance, repair or unnecessary downtime
  • Install anywhere with no flow conditioning or straight pipe run required
  • Accuracy over a wide flow range from a single meter to optimize plant efficiency
  • Repeatable, direct mass flow measurement eliminates problems of inferred-mass from volumetric technologies
  • Improve start up and availability with simple commissioning and reduced risk
