Schiapparelli Biosystems, Inc. is a subsidiary of Alfa-Wassermann SpA, a worldwide healthcare conglomerate. Schiapparelli has been serving the clinical chemistry industry for more than thirty years, and is also a world leader in the manufacture of zonal centrifuge systems for large scale separation.

Specializing in automated centrifugal analysis instrumentation, Schiapparelli chemistry systems have been designed for the solo and group physicians' office laboratories, as well as hospitals and reference laboratories.

Established in 1960, Schiapparelli developed the KII Ultracentrifuge, the tool of choice for the separation and isolation of viruses in vaccine production. A line of chemistry analyzers, associated supplies and diagnostic kits for a variety of clinical chemistry testing soon followed. Schiapparelli introduced its first chemistry system, GEMENI®, in 1976.
