Using data spanning multiple AAV serotypes and downstream unit operations, we evaluate key performance metrics such as flux, impurity clearance, vector recovery, and robustness under shear‑relevant conditions. We also address engineering factors—including flow distribution, transmembrane‑pressure constraints, and system‑level scalability—that shape how a process advances from bench to GMP. Finally, we compare operational footprint, cost drivers, and achievable process‑closure levels for each format, with the aim of supporting rational platform selection for gene‑therapy manufacturing.
