Recombinant AAV continues to gain momentum as a delivery platform for in vivo gene therapies, but scaling production without compromising quality remains a persistent hurdle. Advances in suspension cell line design and bioreactor technology are helping address this gap. High-density, single-cell growth combined with strong, multi-serotype productivity enables consistently high titers while reducing residual host cell DNA, including encapsidated impurities. When paired with next-generation single-use bioreactors, these capabilities translate effectively from bench to 200 L scale with comparable performance and output. The result is a more streamlined, GMP-compatible path from development through commercial manufacturing, supporting both efficiency and product quality.
