We harnessed the Medicel Sampling Unit to take samples from a continuous chemostat cultivation performed in a bench-top bioreactor. The cultivation was performed with the yeast strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which harbors the conditional PMI40 gene. Expression of the gene can be prevented using a repression protein induced by an antibiotic doxycycline. Samples were analyzed for mRNA levels, intracellular metabolite concentrations, and enzyme activities. Click Here To Download:
