STIS is a sample tracking database that tracks the flow of samples through a facility, or keeps track of where they are stored. It offers customizable fields with drop down lists for sample name, description, project and storage requirements. This system also provides expiration and sample submission information, sample status, sample amount, user-customizable fields, and an unlimited length notes field. This database software allows the user to move samples from one "branch" of the tree to another, and also allows whole parts of the tree to be moved from one place to another.
