Revco Expands Standard Warranty Coverage on Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers

<%=company1%> (Asheville, NC) announced Legaci 2/345, a sweeping change in standard warranty coverage of its ultra-low temperature freezer product line effective September 13, 1999. The new warranty program, which applies to products purchased for installation in the United States and Canada, offers two year parts and labor coverage for all -40°C, -50°C and -86°C freezers, plus extended compressor parts coverage for three performance levels. All warranty coverage is subject to GS Laboratory Equipment's standard warranty terms and conditions and exclusions.

According to Revco, GS Laboratory Equipment President Bill Betke, the 2/345 warranty program expresses company confidence in long-term reliability of the entire Revco ultra-low freezer product line based on new data from accelerated life testing programs. The introduction of the Legaci refrigeration system, developed by GS Laboratory Equipment in conjunction with Copeland Corp. and DuPont Suva OEM task force, has demonstrated such a significant reduction in compressor wear to justify an early roll-out of the value-added long range warranty program.

The Legaci refrigeration system integrates custom-built Copeland compressors with DuPont Suva 95 low stage refrigerants within a high-strength, fully insulated cabinet designed exclusively for low temperature applications. Key advantages over our prior refrigeration system design are based on engineering innovations in bearing surfaces and lubrication of critical compressor components.

Revco freezers are available in chest cabinets in volumes from 3.1 cu.ft. (88 liters) to 20.5 cu.ft. (581 liters), and space-saving, low-profile upright cabinets from 13.4 cu.ft. (379 liters) to 24.4 cu.ft. (691 liters). All freezers are built to meet UL, CUL, CE, and TUV criteria for safety and performance.
