The production and the filling of prefilled syringes is a process that comprises a lot of single steps: first the syringe has to be manufactured out of glass tubes. After that the syringes have to be cleaned, sterilized and siliconized. Different processes are requested if the syringes are used as prefilled syringes in the nest or as "bulk" syringes. The single drugs or serum require different filling methods depending on the physical, chemical or pharmaceutical characteristics. When closing the syringe with a stopper not only the filled substance but also the used materials and coatings have to be considered.
