Plastics One, Inc., Pre-Clinical Division is the recognized world leader in the production of custom manufactured in-vivo guide cannula, electrodes, fluid swivels, electrical commutators, multi-channel electrodes, microdialysis probes and associated cables and connectors for annimal research. The Pre-Clinical Research Division was founded in 1958 to aid neuroscience researchers who needed a source of professionally made uniform components for animal infusion and electrical stimulation and monitoring. Our components are now used throughout the world by neuroscientists, psychologists, psychiatrists, biologists, cell biologists, neurochemists,etc. who are studing the brain and central nervous system.

Our component line includes single guide cannula with customized lengths and tubing gauges from 18 to 30 gauge ss tubing, double guide cannula with customized lengths, 22 or 26 gauge ss tubing, and center to center distances of 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.8 mm, 5.0 mm, and 8.6 mm. These distances can often be changed for special applications. We also supply dummy guides and internals compatible with each of these guides. We offer various guide cannula designs for osmotic pump use and smaller guides for mice. Our electrodes include bipolar and tripolar designs, subcutaneous electrodes, concentric designs, bipolar electrodes for small animals and customized 6 channel systems.
