Pittcon Debuts Mobile App For 2012 Conference & EXPO
World's largest annual laboratory science conference goes mobile
By downloading Pittcon 2012's new mobile application, conferees of Pittcon Conference & Expo 2012 in Orlando, Fla., at the Orange County Convention Center March 11-15, can plan their personalized conference schedule on the go or at home. The new app features a personalized agenda, exhibitor profiles, share features, and much more about Pittcon, long known as the gathering place for the best minds in science.
The Pittcon mobile app will provide conferees access and updates to the Conference agenda and 2012 technical program with ability to create a personal agenda and calendar with an option to suggest sessions and courses to colleagues via share features. The app also allows users to view short courses and networking sessions from their mobile devices and share a post-show report.
The Pittcon mobile app gives conferees opportunities to maximize their time on the exhibitor floor with ability to plan booth visits, view exhibitor profiles and navigate floor maps. During the Conference and Expo, the app allows conferees to connect with their peers in real time through Twitter access in on-going, live discussions; exchange contact information with QR code and "bump" features; and ability to receive messages and alerts as they happen. For conferees new to Orlando, the app provides information on restaurants, hotels and transportation.
Known as the world's largest annual laboratory science conference and exposition, Pittcon hosts an estimated 1,000 exhibitors and attendees from more than 90 countries; offers 2,000 presentations; and receives international attention as new discoveries are unveiled.
