WHAT: Phlexglobal will be announcing its expansion into the United States and the opening of an office in Carlsbad, California - its first outside of Europe. It will also be announcing Aidan Nuttall PhD, co-founder and president of Abingdon Life Sciences and former president of Chiltern's US office, as the president of Phlexglobal, Inc.

Nicola Murgatroyd, Chief Executive Officer
Nicola founded Phlexglobal Ltd. in 1998 and has built the company to its current position as the industry's leading organization for support services for the clinical research industry.
While Nicola now has 20 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, she previously had a business career holding Directorships of successful companies in the engineering and retail sectors. Nicola has been instrumental in pioneering the role of the clinical trial administrator (CTA) and was a founder member of the Institute of Clinical Research's (ICR) CTA sub committee.
Aidan Nuttall PhD, President, Phlexglobal Inc.
Aidan has more than 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry and heads up Phlexglobal's US operation.
Before joining Phlexglobal, Aidan co-founded Abingdon Life Sciences, Inc. and retains his position as President. Prior to this, he was President of Chiltern International Inc, where he is credited with expanding the size of Chiltern's US business.
His other positions have included Senior Director of Clinical Development at Maxim Pharmaceuticals, where he led the NDA team for Ceplene™ before becoming Senior Director of Product Development (Anti-infectives). Prior to this, Aidan was Director, Clinical Development at Amylin Pharmaceuticals (EU) where he built and led the Clinical Development Department.
Karen Redding (nee Roy), Executive Director and Global Head of Business Development
Karen has 20 years' pharmaceutical industry experience, having started her career in sales and marketing, then moving to work for a contract research organization where she managed the Clinical Development department across the UK, Scandinavia and Central and Eastern Europe. Subsequently she started up and globally managed a new group, EDC (Electronic Data Capture) Solutions.
In 2007, Karen joined Phlexglobal as Head of Business Development and has since taken on a lead role in Phlexglobal's electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) initiative, to promote, develop and implement support of client eTMF systems as well as Phlexglobal's eTMF Solution – PhlexEview. Karen is also co-chairing an industry-wide DIA TMF Reference Model initiative to standardize TMF contents, naming, structure and metadata.
