Perkinelmer Expands NEN® Radiochemical Product Portfolio
PerkinElmer, a global leader in life science research, drug discovery and cellular science, recently announced that it has expanded its 125I-iodinated radiochemical ligand product line, adding 26 new labeled compounds.
The expanded product line increases the number of ligands currently available to scientists involved in cutting-edge disease state research, enabling them to expand their research and drug development efforts. The radioligands allow scientists to characterize membrane receptors for affinity, specificity and kinetics. Identifying and characterizing receptors is an important step in drug discovery. PerkinElmer provides the broadest line of these most basic tools needed for the advancement of drug development.
"Radiochemicals remain the reagent standard for a wide range of research applications based on their superior sensitivity, time-to-results and ease-of-use," said Richard M. Eglen, Ph.D., president, Bio-discovery, PerkinElmer. "PerkinElmer recognizes that all of its customers have a choice in radiochemical suppliers, and is therefore committed to continually enhancing our level of service to new and existing customers through ongoing investments in new product development, customer support and production capacity."
