Parker To help Biopharmaceutical Manufacturers Transform Tangential Flow Filtration

Optimizing, streamlining and scaling tangential flow filtration processing in the biopharmaceutical industry will be the focus of a Parker webinar this month.
Birtley, County Durham, UK – Taking place on June 25 at 3-4pm BST, the webinar, 10 Ways to be More Agile in Your TFF Processing, will aid biopharmaceutical manufacturers in recognizing how tangential flow filtration (TFF) processing can be designed to be scalable and flexible.
The joint webinar will be led by Dr Andreas Frerix, Quattroflow Product Manager at PSG Biotech and Hasinah Mohammed MSc BEng, Automated Systems Product Manager at Parker Bioscience Filtration.
As biopharmaceutical manufacturers look to introduce automation or change to single-use processing, there are considerations organizations will need to address around implementation, training and best practice, within the constraints of their facilities.
The webinar will address the concerns of organizations from both an operational and user viewpoint, and provide examples of the support available for companies looking to embark on the automation journey, save space and navigate any challenges. As part of the discussion, Dr Frerix and Hasinah Mohammed will introduce solutions designed to streamline processes and support operators.
Drawing on a number of years of experience working within Bioscience Filtration Division and automated systems, Hasinah will introduce the Parker SciLog TFF system, a fully automated bioprocessing solution boasting the smallest footprint on the market.
Hasinah Mohammed MSc BEng, Automated Systems Product Manager at Parker Bioscience Filtration gives a brief insight into the contents of the webinar: “Built to be operated as a standalone system, SciLog TTF can be configured for low flow or high flow processes depending on system configuration and customer requirements. The fully automated systems have process control with access level restrictions and can be integrated into the site network. This webinar will introduce delegates to the benefits of implementing such a system, particularly one as bespoke for GMP; alongside the importance of the operator and training.”
Dr Andreas Frerix, Quattroflow Product Manager at PSG Biotech will then address the advantages of utilising Quattroflow Four Piston Diaphragm pumps, biopharmaceutical control valve (BCV) and ultrasonic flow meters and how these perform in the SciLog TFF system.
He said: “Providing solutions which are reliable and protect media integrity, PSG Biotech offers pumps, sensors and flow meters engineered to safely transfer and precisely meter delicate biologics, medicines and therapeutics.
“By utilising this technology and the information delivered in our webinar, the industry can benefit from highest yields without compromising product quality for biopharmaceutical processing.”
The webinar will offer industry professionals actionable insights on how to get the most out of a single-use system.
The webinar, 10 ways to be agile in your TFF processing, will take place on June 25, 2025 at 3pm London time / 4pm CET. To register and for more information visit: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/5758286876695562070
