Outsourced Pharma Announces San Diego Forum Agenda Following Successful Boston Event

Erie, PA: Outsourced Pharma announced the agenda for its San Diego event at the conclusion of its Boston conference held this past April. An Early Start on Drug Development and Manufacturing Outsourcing is scheduled for August 22-23 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. The complete agenda and list of panelists can be found here.

Outsourced Pharma’s Boston program recently concluded in April. The focus of Outsourced Pharma Boston was to create a forum for open discussion on innovation and technology in outsourcing

In addition to those from pharma and biotech, technology and other industry thought leaders were also invited to explore how relationships can be advanced and the parameters of partnerships can be expanded in the context of the external pharmaceutical supply chain.

Louis Garguilo, Outsourced Pharma Event Chair and chief editor of OutsourcedPharma.com, said, “We’d like to first thank the great panelists and moderators, all the attendees, sponsors, and our partners for making Outsourced Pharma Boston the biggest – and by many measurements – our most successful meeting. I’d also like to thank members of Biogen for being our Spotlight Leadership Company in Boston. Now we turn our attention to Outsourced Pharma San Diego to build on that success. We’ve titled the San Diego conference An Early Start on Drug Development and Manufacturing Outsourcing.”

Outsourced Pharma enters its fourth year hosting thought-leadership conferences and exhibitions that provide discussions of best practices and practical applications of outsourcing skills, with an open format for panel and audience interaction. This San Diego event will focus on emerging pharmaceutical and biotech companies with their counterparts from contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs/CMOs).

Garguilo continued, “What do we mean by ‘an early start’? No matter where you find yourself within the drug development and manufacturing continuum, you need to look further ahead … and do that quicker than ever before. And this runs in the opposite direction, if you will. What you ascertain of the future of your project or product will impact you farther upstream than you might have once imagined. Timelines are collapsing; capacity is changing, technologies evolving, outsourcing relationships advancing … and drug programs are becoming more complicated. Put it this way: It is actually never too early to think about and learn how to manage your total program. And that includes those who one day plan to out-license or partner your drug program at a future point. So we invite all biotech and pharma companies to join us in our unique format of open discussion and learning this summer in San Diego.”
