Outsourced Pharma Announces Philadelphia Agenda

Erie, PA - Outsourced Pharma announces its Philadelphia agenda. Fundamentals for Outsourcing Drug Development and Manufacturing is scheduled for July 18 and 19, 2018 in Philadelphia. The full agenda can be found here.

Outsourced Pharma is expanding its conference line up in 2018, adding Philadelphia to the event locations of Boston, San Diego, and San Francisco. Philadelphia biotech and pharmaceutical company attendees can expect a thought leadership conference and exhibition that provides opportunities to learn about specific aspects of drug development and manufacturing outsourcing, interact with a cross-section of industry members, and generate new business opportunities.

“Over the past four years we’ve continued to improve upon our model of open discussion and debate to uncover challenges facing drug sponsors and the contract development and manufacturing organizations they work with. We look forward to building on our platform in 2018 with our inaugural conference in Philadelphia. We invite any professionals in the industry involved with outsourcing or an external supply chain to join us,” says Louis Garguilo, Chief Editor & Conference Chair, Outsourced Pharma.

The Philadelphia agenda is focused on the fundamentals for outsourcing drug development and manufacturing. Attendees can expect an open dialogue between panelists and the audience, discussing such topics as best practices for selecting the right CDMO, tech transfer challenges, and negotiating strategies for quality and supply agreements.

A featured session is Spotlight Technology: Cell Therapies Growing Strong in Philadelphia. T-cell innovation, genome editing, and FDA-approved gene therapy all happening in the Philadelphia area, some are calling this “Cellacon Valley.” But growth is contingent upon a vibrant ecosystem of networking and support, including from various service providers. Stakeholders in the Philly life sciences community discuss the challenges and opportunities in growing an innovation cluster, both here and beyond.

”When we started our outreach to the Philadelphia biopharma community for ideas for our technology session, the replies were universal,” says Garguilo. “Philly wants to talk cell and gene therapy, and we’ll have a great group of panelists to put these new technologies and therapies into the perspective of working with partners in order to advance outcomes.”
