This non-linear optical system provides simultaneous single and multiphoton excitation of different fluorochromes with
N/An-linear optical system provides simultaneous single and multiphoton excitation of different fluorochromes with multichannel detection. This system couples ultra short pulsed NIR lasers via optical fibers. The fiber coupling unit consists of a PreChirp device, the optical fiber and a scan head adapter. The dispersion of the fiber and of the microscope optics is completely compensated to preserve broadening of the ultra short pulses coming out of the laser in the femtosecond range. The system also has fast switching of NIR excitation by using acousto optical techniques.
