WILMAD Deuterated Solvents are among the highest quality solvents (especially for purity and dryness) that are available on the market today.

Analysis for chemical and isotopic purity and "dryness" is routinely performed before and after packaging.

All 0.5mL, 0.75mL and 1g quantities are packaged in glass ampoules; other quantities are packaged in glass bottles with special-lined caps. Strong acids, bases and other selected solvents are packaged in glass ampoules or poly bottles where glass bottles cannot be used. For 100% deuterated solvents, 1.5mL and 0.75mL quantities are packaged in glass ampoules; other quantities are packaged in septum bottles.

Most deuterated solvents will absorb moisture and decrease in isotropic enrichment when exposed to the atmosphere. This is particularly noticeable with "100%" solvents and solvents used in FT-NMR studies. Handling in an inert atmosphere such as dry nitrogen or argon in a glovebag or glovebox is suggested to preserve purity. When septum bottles are used, the syringe should be flushed with dry nitrogen; then, a quantity of dry nitrogen equivalent to the volume of solvent required should be injected into the septum bottle before the solvent is withdrawn.
