New kit for rapid determination of 20S proteasome activity

Source: ALEXIS Biochemicals
<%=company1%> introduces an assay kit for the rapid determination of 20S proteasome activity in a wide variety of applications. This assay may be used for a number of purposes, including qualitative and quantitative determination of 20S proteasome inhibition, 20S proteasome activation, and 20S proteasome latent activity. Each assay kit contains all buffers and reagents needed for the analysis of 20S proteasome activity in cuvettes or in a 96-well microtiter plate. A complete line of reagents for the study of the Ubiquitin Proteasome Pathway is also offered.

The 20S proteasome is a large, multimeric protease that catalyzes the final step of the Ubiquitin Proteasome Pathway—the cell's principle mechanism for protein catabolism. This pathway has significant involvement in the regulation of transcription, oncogenesis, and the cell cycle.
