MKS Introduces Series 26 Filter Housings For Biopharmaceutical Processes

High Quality Construction, Design Provide Consistent Fit, Finish

Wilmington, MA - MKS Instruments, Inc., a provider of process control technologies for improving productivity in semiconductor and other advanced manufacturing processes, has introduced the Series 26 Single Round Filter Housing for application in a wide range of gas and liquid filtration in biopharmaceutical processes. Its modular design and highly polished surface finish provide for an easily configurable filtration solution that minimizes dead legs and hold up volume, and has superior drainability and cleanability.

"Our goal is to meet or exceed biopharmaceutical industry benchmarks for quality and performance," says Paul Trunzo, Biopharm Product Manager at MKS Instruments. "To that end, machining, welding, and polishing processes are optimized, silicone gaskets and 316L stainless steel are standard, and all housings receive 100% pressure testing before they are approved for shipment."

These high quality housings come with a variety of inlets, outlets, surface finishes and other component options, as well as custom designs that can best meet users' unique process requirements. For applications demanding a more robust design, ASME coded vessels are available with both "U" and "UM" certification. Both standard and special housings are offered with legendary MKS fit and finish, and quick turnaround times from order to delivery.

Other MKS biopharmaceutical products include stainless steel ASME BPE fittings, filter housing heaters, pressure measurement and calibration instruments, ozone generators, mass flow controllers, and process monitoring software.
