Millipore Sigma Bio-Expo Live November 2025, Part One: Downstream Bioprocessing
Monoclonal antibody (mAb) purification often relies on cation exchange chromatography to effectively remove host cell proteins and aggregates. However, traditional resins suffer from slower diffusive mass transfer, while conventional chromatography membranes typically offer limited binding capacity, constraining productivity.
The new Natrix® CH cation exchange hydrogel membrane offers a scalable solution that fundamentally shifts this paradigm. Utilizing convective mass transfer, this technology achieves significantly higher flow rates and productivities—over 30 times greater than traditional resins. Crucially, it overcomes the binding capacity limitations of existing membranes, demonstrating 5 to 8 times higher capacity while maintaining robust impurity removal. This performance is consistent across scales, from 1 mL development devices to modular manufacturing-scale units (9–372 mL), enabling simplified process transfer and consistent chromatography performance.
Discover how to dramatically accelerate your mAb purification process while maintaining high product quality. Watch the full presentation.
