The Openlab Rapid Biological Imaging Technology (ORBIT) system was developed for precise and rapid automation of research grade microscopes. The systems are highly modular – select the appropriate controller and choose from the optional hardware modules.
- The Orbit I controller is designed for imaging applications requiring precision automation. Optional peripheral modules include:
- 2 x 10 position filter wheels
- 3 high speed electronic shutters
- Focus drive with integral anti backlash routine
- 2 x 10 position filter wheels
- The Orbit II controller is designed for high precision, high speed imaging, 16 digital TTL lines, 8 input and 8 output are supplied as standard with Orbit II. Optional peripheral modules include:
- Piezo focus drive
- High speed variable wavelength monochromator
- Designed for scientific imaging applications
- Modular and cost-effective microscope automation solution
- Fully upgradeable for future imaging applications
- Flash firmware, allows remote firmware upgrade
- 10 position excitation and emission filter wheels
- Manual selection of shutters and wavelengths
- Z focus motor with integral anti backlash
- Support for three external high-speed shutters
- 16 programmable digital I/O lines
- High Speed Piezo focus drive
- Monochromator for rapid wavelength control
