This system can analyze a wide range of sample types, due to its choice of atmospheric pressure ionization (API)-electrospray (ES) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) modes, and standard positive and negative ionization modes. It also has automatic tuning, along with a built-in calibrant delivery system, which ensures high sensitivity and day-to-day reproducibility. With a hinged swing-out spray chamber, it is possible to switch between API-ES and APCI modes in less than five minutes. In addition, the software design minimizes the number of screens the user has to interact with in order to set up an analytical method.
