Life Science Connect Appoints Chief Editor And Business Development Positions

Marshall joins team as Med Device Online editor, Veltre named VP of Sales and Business Development

Life Science Connect, a business unit within the pioneering B2B media services company VertMarkets, announced two new appointments to the company’s Life Sciences team. Bob Marshall joins the Life Science Connect team as the Editor In Chief of Med Device Online. Joe Veltre will serve as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for all Life Science Connect products. Both Marshall and Veltre will start in their new roles immediately.

Bob Marshall brings more than 20 years of experience in medical device product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs to his new role. Prior to joining Med Device Online, Marshall spent the last seven years with medical device consulting firm Regulatory & Quality Solutions. He previously held leadership positions with Renal Solutions (now Fresenius Medical Care), Siemens Medical Solutions, Medrad (now Bayer HealthCare), and Respironics (now Philips Healthcare). He holds both a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and an MS degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College.

“We have lived through so much change in the medical device space in the last two decades. I’m sure that pace will only accelerate.  I look forward to collaborating and learning from those who are leading the way, enabling better outcomes, and improving the quality of life for patients and users,” stated Marshall. “In the end, I’m not just a medical device professional. Joe Veltre comes to the Life Science Connect team as an accomplished commercial executive with an extensive record of hands-on leadership success within diverse segments of the biotech and biomedical markets. Prior to joining Life Science Connect, Veltre served in numerous senior executive positions with Thermo Fisher Scientific, SciCan, AEI Technologies, Ametek, JVC Enterprises, and Volk Optical.  He holds a BS degree in Biological Sciences from Wheeling Jesuit University.

As Veltre joins Life Science Connect, he looks to build upon the company’s recent success and drive growth and expansion. “I’m excited to start a new challenge with Life Science Connect,” said Veltre. “I’m looking forward to working with the team to further develop their relationship building and strategic business development skills.”
