VIVAPHARM HPMC (Hypromellose, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) and VIVACOAT Ready-to-Use Coating System

VIVAPHARM HPMC is a multifunctional cellulosic excipient used for film coating as a wet granulation binder and as an alternative to gelatin in two-piece capsule manufacture. This new excipient offers multiple advantages, such as wide viscosity range, neutral color and taste, rapid solubility and clear, robust films. HPMC applications include cosmetic coating, controlled-release coatings of matrix tablets, coating for taste masking, binder for wet or dry granulation, topical preparations, suspension, ophthalmic, oral films and others. VIVAPHARM HPMC is available in multiple grades to address a variety of applications, including HPMC E 3, HPMC E 5, HPMC E 6, HPMC E 15, HPMC E 50.
VIVACOAT is a ready-to-use, fully formulated coating system for pharmaceutical and nutritional products, comprising polymer, plasticizer, opacifier and pigments. VIVACOAT offers advantages to tablet manufacturing such as color matching, batch-to-batch color consistency, shorter lead and process times, reduced inventory and testing, reduced costs and free technical support. Grades include VIVACOAT P (Pharma), F (Food), M (Moisture Barrier) and A (High Adhesion).
