InforMax Releases Vector NTI Suite Version 5.5 Software for Molecular Biology and Genetics Research
Vector NTI Suite application programs include: Vector NTI for mapping and illustration, primer design and analysis, and strategic recombinant design; BioPlot for protein and nucleic acid sequence analysis; AlignX for multiple sequence alignment; and ContigExpress for sequencing project management and fragment assembly.
Unlike other molecular biology software programs, Vector NTI Suite and all of its components contain ResearchLogic - a system that integrates data, analyses and presentations in a naturally efficient workflow. This system enables faster visualization, management and retrieval of data. Vector NTI provides a consistent and efficient format for data viewing and analyses in all applications, and facilitates the generation of presentation-quality figures. There are currently over 10,000 Vector NTI Suite users and software licenses in academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
New features of VNTI Suite Version 5.5 include:
Vector NTI
Improved multi-component abilities for file open/save & data import/export dialogs.
Improved protein translation options display.
New View Manager for configuration of the onscreen display.
New summary reports functionality.
AlignX
New matrix editor and choice of alignment matrix options.
Improved alignment homology and identity calculations.
Additional alignment Tool option.
BioPlot
New View Manager for configuration of the onscreen display.
ContigExpress
Significantly enhanced fragment end trimming and vector sequence contamination removal functionality.
Enhanced chromatograph editing functionality.
Import support for ALF and SCF file formats.
In addition, Vector NTI 5.5 now supports a floating license/concurrent user option. A central server is contacted at program launch and a floating license is granted to users as needed, optimizing the total number of licenses available to the group of users, and simplifying IT administrative tasks. This feature is available for all programs in the Vector NTI Suite.
