CAR-T cell manufacturing can involve multiple manual steps that extend production timelines and introduce opportunities for variability and contamination. A 3-in-1 automated protocol integrates T-cell activation, viral transduction, and cell expansion into a single functionally closed workflow.

In a published study, the approach produced 15.4 billion total cells, including 6.9 billion CAR-T cells, with 94% viability in seven to eight days. Compared with a manual process, the protocol demonstrated 27% faster manufacturing, nearly twice the transduction efficiency, and a 77% reduction in open events. By combining key manufacturing steps, the approach can support greater consistency while reducing contamination risk and maintaining important T-cell quality attributes.

Explore how an integrated workflow can help streamline CAR-T cell manufacturing from collection through fill and finish.
