Hygienic Diaphragm Valve Bodies -- ITT Pure-Flo Introduces Controlled Sulfur 316L, With Extended Weld Tangents
ITT Pure-Flo announces the availability of low sulfur content forged bodies with extended weld tangents for its' Pure-Flo Hygienic Diaphragm valve product line. The Pure-Flo line of controlled sulfur forged valve bodies, with extended weld tangents was developed to solve some of the most common orbital welding issues in the Bioprocessing and Pharmaceutical industries, sulfur content mismatch, and universal orbital weld head compatibility. The line features forged 316L stainless steel material, with sulfur content compliant to ASME Bioprocessing Equipment 2002 Standard, Table DT-3. Additionally the weld tangents of the valve bodies are equivalent to the weld tangent lengths specified for ASME BPE compliant fittings. The combination of these features eliminates the common need for welded tube extensions, and allows the use of practically all commonly used orbital welding equipment, without the need for narrow, or offset weld heads. From a welding perspective this allows the valve to be treated as any other fitting in the process system. Extended tangent valve bodies are available from 0.5" through 4" sizes.
