Researchers created apoptosis-resistant CHO cell lines (DKO1 and DKO2) with the goal of enhancing biotherapeutic production. These Bax/Bak double knockout CHO cells were used to create bulk pools expressing complex biologics with peak titers exceeding 8 g/L. The bulk pool generation process utilized MaxCyte® electroporation for the high-efficiency, high-viability transfection of custom CHO cells, enabling high-density, extended-duration production cultures.
