The GeneLine Series of gel documentation systems offers extremely high speed and economy, and delivers consistent, reliable gel images every time in seconds. The series features analysis software, which provides complete gel analysis with the click of the mouse. Images from the camera are instantly processed by the software, which, in less than eight seconds, automatically locates lanes, bands, edges and produces track profiles and results, including precise molecular weights, volume, and quality data, which may be exported directly.

The systems feature a state-of-the-art CCD camera, a 9-in by 11-in hood, and an image acquisition software CD. The camera is equipped with manual zoom lenses, + 2 diopter lens, and camera mount bracket. The camera has excellent pixel resolution, and is simple to use. When the hooded camera is placed on the transilluminator over the gel, the image shows up instantly on a monitor. The camera automatically adjusts to produce a perfect image on the monitor screen. The image can then be printed or saved in the technician's computer.

The GeneCam system includes the software CD, a data acquisition board, and connecting cable. Many accessories, such as an analog thermal printer, are available. The GeneCam is a point-and-shoot, completely automated gel analysis system. The economical system has a special image-processing unit, monitor and all connecting cables. With this package, the software is optional, as are an analog thermal printer and other accessories. Both systems easily connect to the technician's PC computer for data analysis.
